Whats the cheapest way to move across country with a small car?

Im moving from Mass to Michigan and I have a 2000 Ford Escort Z-X2. Im only moving one bedroom but with a tv, an entertainment center(which can be taken apart), 2 bookcases and a few boxes of books, movies and clothes. Im doing this alone so I figured using U-haul to use a trailer but i dont have a hitch on my car. Just looking for other options or whats the best choice. Thanks.

      My suggestion to use professional movers last time when moved many times and always hire professional movers thats way you want to use professional movers last time when moved many times and also find some cheap boxes on their site.
