What would be on 1958 gangster’s bookcase? (for a school play)?

im designing a set for a school play and one scene requires a bookcase to be in the back of a 1958 ganster’s hideout..

so far ive thought of a safe and a tomy gun, what else???? (im at the school ofice at the moment and im trying to do this scene today)
(oh and as copy of guns and ammo)

      I’m not sure, but I recommend you watch the original Star Trek (original series) episode: “A Piece of the Action.” The entire episode is about a planet of people who mimic the things they’ve seen or encountered, specifically, early 1900’s gangs. That should give you ideas of costumes and props.
