I live in an apartment and was considering getting the large Ikea Expedit bookcase as a room didvider. Does anyone have one that knows if they can be easily disassembled when it’s time to move? Some furniture I have put together before (not Ikea) had fasteners that cannot be removed again. I don’t think the Ikea bookcase would fit down the hallway stairs fully assembled. I asked an Ikea employee but I think he was just saying what he thought I wanted to hear. Has anyone actually had one that they have disassmbled and then reassembled?

I use folding bookshelves available at staples they fold flat are easily transported and can be lined up end to end to create a whole system. I love them I have 8 and wish I had more. No assembly or disassembly required. Very user friendly and actually made of wood. Solid wood.
