    I always recommend unfinished furniture stores. They usually carry real wood furniture, which lasts so much longer and is usually manufactured better.

    Here are two stores in the NJ area that carry real wood furniture that is unfinished and finished. If they don’t have the black you’re looking for, they can be custom finished.
