Nan Hawthorne asked:

We want to fill a whole wall with bookcases partially to screen noise from the apartment next door. What sort of business should I contact about this? One I talked to said the labor would run between $1500-2000 total plus the materials. Is this reasonable? The only reason we would have them built instead of heading for Ikea is because we have a heat register in the middle of the wall at the baseboard and the shelves would have to be built to leave that uncovered.
