How many books will fit in a 24 cm by 23 cm bookcase?

The space in a bookcase measures 24 cm by 23 cm. Each volume of a 20 volume encyclopedia has a spine measuring 25 cm by 1 cm. How many encyclopedias will fit in this space so that all the spines can be read.

so it means that the books arn’t standing straight. they are leaning/on a slant.

      24*23*/25 = tot books

      tot books / 20 = encyclopedias = 1
