The Many Different Types of Storage Boxes
Filed Under bookcases | Comments Off
Doug Nourse asked:
When you actually look, you can see that storage boxes come in a huge range of sizes from tiny to massive. Also, they are used in almost every setting. They are used in schools, offices, libraries, shops, supermarkets and even on cargo ships. Storage boxes are a great way of storing things cheaply and easily. People in the office and at home seem to prefer storage boxes over any other kind of storage system. Lots of people complain that their homes are messy and unorganised even though they have shelves and bookcases, but most people have acquired such a big amount of things that one shelf and bookcase is not enough to store all their possessions. A lot of people find that it feels like there is no chance of being able to get all their stuff neatly stored away, and instead of keeping their possessions in one of any of the many storage options, it all goes into large heaps or bundles in the back of the room or behind big pieces of furniture. But, these people also see that when they buy some storage boxes as a tool to solve the problem they have somewhere to put all their things and like a flash they don’t feel chaotic anymore.
If you are about to start an internet search because you are planning to buy storage boxes, then you are making an excellent start, but remember that there are many varieties of boxes on offer. The different kinds of storage boxes that are available include, cardboard boxes, metal boxes, plastic boxes, flat packed boxes, and sustainably sourced boxes (meaning that they are made from recycled materials). These are ideal for people who like to feel that they are shopping in a responsible way and helping to protect the environment for future generations. When people plan their ideal home, they often don’t trouble themselves with thinking about storage but, make no mistake, without storage your ideal house won’t be functional and it definitely won’t look like your perfect house for longer than five minutes! With the right kind of storage, your house will soon look perfect with everything tucked away and easy to find.
Think about how many papers you have, how many toys and games the kids have or how big the folders that you want to store away are. From this you should be able to estimate how big your boxes need to be and also how many you will need to purchase to be able to keep everything you want in them. It is important not to forget that when you are learning to organise, you will make errors and buy some stuff that doesn’t solve your problem, remember it is all an educational experience! Try not to get worked up about if you have purchased the right storage boxes or not if you got them from the internet, as lots of companies who are selling online have great refund policies.
Big Dug is your one-stop-shop for all your racking, storage and storage needs.

I have an old sectional wooden bookcase; I find small heaps of round buff-colored pellets on the shelves?
Filed Under bookcases | 2 Comments
Yuki-Onna asked:
…usually at the back of the shelf inside. I haven’t seen any degradation or obvious problems with the wood. I have seen no termites and have the house foundations sprayed yearly. What are these pellets, and how do I keep them from building up on the shelves? They look kind of like seeds or round sawdust, but there is no other sign that it is coming from the wood itself, no fissures or worn spots I can find–just these heaps. Thanks!
Gem Gem: I hope you’re joking!
Blunt I-run: We do have mice, but these do not have the look of dropping, but more like tiny, perfectly round seeds. I used to keep rats as pets, and I’m familiar with their droppings and leavings. It looks more like someone poured out a bag of tiny seeds than anything else.

I need something to put my gecko’s 30″ long terrarium, my 20″ TV (flat panel), and my other stuff like PS3, CD’s games, etc.
The problem is, It’s only a 30″ wall, so finding something is kinda hard. It’s even harder because I need adjustable shelves to fit everything properly. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
