I have a sofa, an oversized chair, and a recliner, plus a 52″ tv. The tv fits right in the space between the bookcases. Somebody PLEASE help me out?!?!

Once I remove the window, what do I need to do to close it up so I can build my bookcases? I need to seal the outside part of the opening against the elements, but I will leave the inside-moulding and all for shelves and build around it. Has anyone done this before? Can someone help me?
