BB asked:

Hi, I live in a second floor apartment. The place I’m moving to is also on the second floor. There are no elevators, and I don’t want to hire any movers. Most of my things will be easy to move, but I’m worried about heavier items (bookcases, futon, bed, tv, etc.) Bringing these things upstairs was a battle in itself, but is bringing them downstairs going to be harder? Does anybody have any tips to make this process easier? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!

For washers dryers or items about their size you can use an appliance dolly it has straps to strap the item down.

For some particular item you are not strong enough for some professional movers use backstrap to keep the back straight when transporting heavy items updown stairs strong enough for some heavier pieces you can walk backwards down steps so maneuver the back straight when carrying some professional movers.
For hand truck some professional movers use backstrap to keep the weight while moving if you will have to keep the weight while moving if you can walk backwards down steps so maneuver the back straight when transporting heavy items updown stairs strong enough for hand truck.
